am not able to change the default home page of the internet explorer.
and every time i used to open interent explorer the following website “http://195.95.218.172/index.php” will be opened automatically.
and also most of the time one error message will be displayed
“microsoft internet explorer has encountered a problem and needs to close . We are sorry for the incovenience.If you were in the middle of something, the information your were working on might be lost…………….”
and for this error message, there are 2 buttons
one is “Send erorr Report” and second one is “Dont send”
i checked the internet options,in general tab i found that the default home page is “http://195.95.218.172/index.php”,
so i tried to delete it and give another default home page , but after giving the new default website, and tried to open ie , the same old site will be opened(“http://195.95.218.172/index.php”) , so i went again to internet options and check the default homepage address and found it same as old one “http://195.95.218.172/index.php”….i also tried to use blank but also no way the same website will be opened …..i also deleted cookies,and cleared the history but still the same problem ………
am using windows 2000 server but (am not a part of any network),it is standalone.
(i did not install or configure any active directory,dns,dhcp………..)
by the way before 4 days ie was working fine , and i was able to change the default page
so what shall i do
