Changing Password Problem

I am experiencing problems with passwords and account lockouts. All of my servers are NT 4.0(SP4) and all of my workstations are WIN 2000 Pro(SP1). As users passwords expire according to system policies, they are promoted to change their password. The users are able to change their password successfully, but when they try to access a server, their user account is lockout. The password has changed on the local machine, but it has not replicated to all of the servers in a LAN/WAN environment. This happens to everybody not just one particular user. To solve this problem, I have to unlock the user’s account and go into server manager and synchronize the entire domain. Then wait for the replication process to take effect.

Is there anyway to prevent this lockout from happening?
