Changing the default save path in Word and Excel.

By sal37 ·
Has anyone ever changed the save path in Word or Excel to a Network drive for individual users on a domain? If so, has it worked as the default save path? And the exact path that you used.

I think what you want to do

is just change the path to "My Documents". Right click "My Documents" click "Properties" then click "Move" and you can browse to a new location for the folder. If the folder is empty you could just type the path in the "Target" box. That's what I do when setting up a new user, after setting up the "User" file on the server and mapping them to that location I can just change the target field to the letter of the mapped drive ie "H:".
