Changing the language of XP and Office

By bfadero ·
I have a laptop loaded with windows XP home edition and office XP but the language is in german. I would like to change this to english and want to know if there is an easier way to doing this without having to re-install windows XP and office XP.

If your had drive is a large is one you can create a separate partition and installxp english version, otherwise you'll have to buy a new english xp and clean install not re-install.
There is teh language packs for xp which can give some english to your german.

Have you tried going into the Control Panel and changing the Regional Settings to somewhere like the US or UK to see what happens?

That should cure the language and time/date and other settings unique to wherever the Regional Settings are set to.

HAL is right. I have setup several systems for multilinguasl use, but you may need to check if you have multilingual pack with your Office version.
The other suggestions of re-installing is only if you want an english-only ver.
