Reduce screen resolution to 800x600 or 640x480.
(Right-click desktop, select Properties, Settings.)

You can also customize windows bars, windows, menus, icons by going to Appearance, select a larger font size, or click on Advanced and play with the individual items.

Make your start menu items larger by right-click, Properties, Start Menu, customize, select large icons.

Right click an empty space on your desktop, click "properties", Select the Settings tab, click on advanced and then change the dpi settings to suite your needs. click on apply. Now select the "appearance" tab. Select "effects" and then check "Use large Icons". Click on OK. Hit the "Font Size" dropdown list, select "Large Fonts". Click on OK. You may have to reboot for some of those effects to take effect.
