changing video-driver impossible

by europanorama . Updated 24 years, 4 months ago

i tried to install the video-driver of spea v7-vega plus(pci) on a p75. win98a has found the advance logoc 2301 but in windows it says its the win3.1 version. i cannot change resolution from 480 x 640. i have a win95-version which has to be installed from disk(i have tried it from a directory too). resolution settings must be changed within dos. maybe i mix something i give you informations from two driver-versions. the problem i tried to change the driver-even by using the standard one before installing the new one. i think i missed using the manual procedure and searching for the directory the driver is installed. what is you opinion? btw: i was lucky seen the resolution chart of the spea but nothing changed when i tried to enter 600×800 even with conservative setting of 256 colors. screen is ok.i have winme and hope to use the win95-driver. btw: i have some small troubles with a matrox milleniumII(no driver for winme around). on one harddisk the pciture/screen is flickering(is this the right word?) maybe the configuration is not ideal for that harddisk. devices(drives, board ec are very tight around the screen outside the case.
