Changing win2000 Eval ver. to full ver

How do I change my windows 2000 server/professional or windows server 2003 from an evaluation version to a full version? I here u have to edit the registry. which folder and keys shud be edited?? I really need this.

The only way to do this is to Upgrade the server with the full retail version. I worked in a shop that had accidentally made a copy of the eval version of Win2k Server. We discovered this after the three servers were in production. We had user data and all kinds of printers and other stuff. We simply popped in the Retail (full) version and did an upgrade. All settings, shares, apps, etc. remained. However there is no registry key or hack. This rumor has been around for years.

Actually it is NOT a rumor. There's a file on the EVAL CDROM that needs to be modified. This will prevent the EVAL version from expiring.

But wouldn't it be better to buy the Microsoft Action pack for $300.00 and receive $20,000 worth of software and be legal?
