Checkpoint CCSE+ to CISSP

By Mart H ·
Does anyone know if there is any self paced training guides available for the CCSE+ exam??

Checkpoint seem to be a bit vague in this area and advise to attend a training course!!

I would like to achieve the CCSE+ status as I have been advised that it is a logical stepping stone to CISSP status - is this a valid comment?

vendor based certs are usually just that. They are a validation that you know their product (and as we all know, that's not always the case). While background knowlege is required, its mainly concentrated on a specific line of products.

The CISSP is different in that its a 'management' certification dealing with various security methodologies and techniques. It is not at all verdor specific.

It think the CCSE to CISSP comment is only valid in that it resemble the logical career growth of a security professional... from a engineer to a manager.

I would check the popular cert sites for resources .
