Chg product key to product id in win2k

u may have to run MS sysprep utility on the PCs.
This utility remove the key code but maintain you applications so the next time u reboot the system it would request the key code.

In the furture u would install all your applications and just before you create the image you would run this utility. Once you run this utility do not reboot just got ahead and create your image. The next time u reboot it will ask u for the key code.

copy the link below in your Browser
to download this utility.
Hope this helps.

The easiest way IS to run sysprep BEFORE creating the ghost, but now that all the machines are setup, you can also edit each pc's keycode in regedit through the path:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE > Software > Microsoft > Windows > Current Version. Edit the ProductId value and don't forget the dashes.

Hi,
Why do you need to do this? The only time it might possibly be an issue is if you were asking for support from Microsoft, and all that will concern them is whether or not you actually have a license for each machine , which you do (I speak from experience here, MS are familiar with people rolling out machines on one key). The product ID \ Key has no other function....
