I have a problem with child domain setup. I have installed root server with DNS , AD , etc. They are my root DNS (domain name is domain1). So, i want to create child domain named domain2.domain1, but during dcpromo i have received message that child domain server could not contact domain1 server and i did not promote this server to child domain controller. Servers are in different networks and they are connected trough server on which is routing and remote access enabled.
Configuration is:
1. domain controller
– name: server.domain1
– ip address: 192.168.10.1/24
– default gateway: 192.168.10.100/24
2. child domain controller
– name: server.domin2.domain1
– ip address: 192.168.20.1/24
– default gateway: 192.168.20.100/24
3. router server:
– name: router
– ip address – interface 1: 192.168.10.100/24
– ip address – interface 1: 192.168.20.100/24
