CHMOD vs W2K

By abangryan ·
I'm having a problem on translating a unix command mode eg chmod 666 a file
How can I do this chmod thingy in my w2k server?
Is it in the IIS permission wizard? if so what to choose?

Windows Explorer, rightclick on file or directory, Properties, Security, Permissions. Or if you want to work on commandline, MS tools like XACLS.

Note however that Windows ACL's are a great deal more complex than Unix, so the '666' needs a more complex translation into Windows rights.

At your service,
