CIO and CSO

By hochi181lhca ·
I am studying to find out actual cases of various information security incidents where there was a CISO/CSO in existence in an organization and where there was not a CISO/CSO in an organization. In addition, I would like to find out more about the way the organization and/or CIO handled the information security incident.

Could you help me identify some cases to research incidents in the US?
I would like to find out exactly what happened in the information security violation was and how they handled it to resolve the case. Unfortnately, there are so many Japanese executives who do not care about investing any money to the information security preparedness until they faced with some major incident. I would like to find out about the US cases and warn them to be prepared in order to avoid any embarrassement. Your help is deeply appreciated.
Thank you very much.

Other than very general information, companies are not going to admit they were penetrated.

Check this paper for some ideas:

And you should ask the legal counsel for the firms what laws are in effect and require their compliance.

Best of luck!
