I would say it depends on the situation what is relevant for executive manager. So any existing template might contain either too much information or not enough.
If you have nothing to tell as CIO, don’t tell anything. If you have too much to tell, probably nobody is interested.
Also consider reporting in a more or less standard Word document in stead of a presentation. Then the presentation contains the highlights from the document, which can be different each time.
