I teach at a community college and use rubric forms created in Word for grading. The forms are e-mailed to me. Each criteria has a scale of something like "1 2 3 4 5", which I normally circle the appropriate score by hand and then physically return the form to the student. Is there a way within Word to easily circle the appropriate scores and then e-mail the form back to the student? I envision using a hot-key or other easy method to do this. Your help will be appreciated!

Not real easy. You can use the drawing toolbar to circle. Hold down the Shift key to make a circle rater than an oval. You can substitute a circled number from Insert>symbol and choose Wingdings font. or you couls use an overlay field {EQ\O(O,1)}
The Wingdings font might work by using a key sequence to each symbol I need. Tell me more about overlay fields. I could find no information about that. Thanks
Go to Insert>Field Select Equations and Formulsa on the left side. On the right side select Eq Click the options button. Click on the ? in the upper right cormer of the Field Options box and then click on the Switches window to see the Help filedescription. As I mentioned the Wingding font or Drawing toolbar might be easier
Thank you for introducing me to fields. There is always something new to learn! I agree that the other two methods are best. Thanks for heading me in the right direction!
