Does anyone have experience replacing the highest priority switch (brains) in a 3750 Cisco switch stack? I know how to add/remove stack members but wondering how difficult replacement of master will be and if switch stack will be able to reassign this role. If anyone has done this and has any tips that would be appreciated. Specific question would be if master fails and I replace using same switch number but with low priority not to overwrite config how next do I change this to master without affecting production? We have another switch in stack thats piority number one below master and assuming failover should work but difficult to simulate. The rest are all priority 1.
