Cisco 3845 Simple Setup

by luxor . Updated 18 years, 9 months ago

I need major help. My boss decided to purchase a Cisco 3845. He has a few homes around a lake and has ordered 2 T1 lines and heard this router could handle up to 8 T1 lines. We are also going to have some DVRs on the network and need to have port forwarding to these, but nothing else is needed at this emergency time.

We also bought 4 VWICs for this as well.

What I need to know is how to set this up to be a simple router for now, that will bond the two T1s.

I want it to basically act like a simple DLink router that will have DHCP and Port Forwarding.

Can someone help me with this? I can take the courses to learn to do more complicated items, but this equipment will be here tomorrow and I’m suppose to know how to set it up and I’ve never setup anything more complicated than a simple DLink router with GUI.

HELP PLEASE!!!!
