Cisco 800 – Rommon?

by chuckybear . Updated 17 years, 9 months ago

I recenly had issue’s with my ISP (Comcast) and my Cisco Router. Apparently there was a wallguard/boot file for the modem that appeared to be stuck in my router. I felt this was the issue because if I by passed the router I could get out to the web and the page being displayed was what Comcast told me it was. Not being very Cisco literate I deleted the startup-config. Now I am stranded and recieve the following error when I boot the router “no bootable image file: flash/ unable to open boot file and sit at a rommon prompt? I do not have any backup for the config file how can I get this router back to defaults or back to a working status or should I ask if thats possible. Thanks so much for all you help I am really in a pickle…Chuck
