I have an ASA 5505 unlimited license. When I booted it this morning it started in ROMMON mode and it looks like it lost its image file. I have tried loading the image through a tftp server but it times out. I also tried to download it through telnet Xmodem protocol and it also timed out. The device is configured correctly in ROMMON MODE and the ethernet port i am connected to shows link is up and mac address is assigned. I can ping out to other devices. But the other devices cannot ping the ASA. I noticed on the front the ACTIVE LED is not light at all. No green, no amber. Is this a hardware problem that can be fixed or is it damaged somehow? Any help is appreciated. Oh I also tried to load the various confreg indexes to see if the image was there too. I also have tried staight through cable and cross over cable.
