My Cisco CVPN3005 died and won’t reboot. When I connect a console and power up I see:
Boot-ROM Initializing…
Boot configured 128Mb of RAM.
No IDE devices found…

I popped out the CF flash card and attached it to my PC to inspect it. Checking it, I see a folder named ?CERTS? and three files: ?CONFIG?, ?CONFIG.BAK? and ?SAVELOG.TXT. What I don?t see is any binary load image. SO ? I downloaded a 3005 binary from Cisco and dropped it on the CF card, but no luck booting. Of course I don?t know what name it is looking for, so it?s not surprising that it still won?t load.
Is anybody familiar with how to break into the BIOS or what I can do to resurrect this device?
Thanks!!
