I have a ‘newbie’ type question about the physical installation of a Cisco 4006 switch. I used the console connection to make the initial configuration changes but am not sure where the network connection should be: there are 2 GBIC ports, 1 consoleand 1 management port in the supervisor module. We are not using fiber. I THINK the RJ-45 s/b connected via the me1 port (which is UP) to the hub that is connected to our PIX and on to the outside router. I got a green light but no connectivity. I can’t ping the PIX or router. The sc0 port is administratively down.
Anyone have a moment to help me out? Thanks in advance.
