CISCO User Level Definition

By tobs ·
I would like to know the meaning of each User level and the commands available for that particular level. I would like to limit the privilege that I will assign to a user and provide a security plan for our network. Where can I find documentations about this?

Thanks.

You need to be a bit more specific about what you need information about.

Are you refering to the cisco routers?

If you are talking about the routers, they have only two modes, USER and PRIVLEDGED.

USERS can see some information about the router, but cannot change it, where as PRIVLEDGED can.

The commands available for both are just too long to type. Best bet is look for a CCNA Users Guide.
But if you dont know how to configure a router, then there is no need for you or anyone else to access it, unless they know what they are doing... because one wrong command can wipe your router settings.
