Cisco VPN and AT&T Comm Manager

by mbg1967 . Updated 18 years, 8 months ago

Supporting various laptops running WinXP.

Users are reporting errors when running AT&T’s Comm Mgr (which they use successfully to access Internet) AND Cisco’s VPN Client 4.0 or newer.

VPN Client connects successfully and user can access all needed drives. However, when user tries to open a web site, no luck.

I have confirmed proxy settings in gpedit.msc as well as in the browser’s Internet Options, Connections, LAN Settings, Use Automatic Configuration Script and they are all correct.

It seems that the AT&T Comm Mgr and the Cisco VPN Client aren’t wanting to play nice together, at least not when they’re both up and running. I’m wondering if there’s a way to sort of tell the browser to use the Comm Mgr connection for Internet usage and to ignore the VPN connection.

Any suggestions?
