I have had many problems with this. I am using Cisco VPN client version 3.6.2 (3.1 and all other versions experience the same problem) to connect to a PIX firewall (acts as VPN server).
Windows 98/95 clients never have any problems, however, Windows 2000 and, especially, Windows XP clients can connect to the server but they cannot ping after the VPN session is established. What is going on? On the client side, the router is a Netgear MR314. Resetting the router sometimes works but most of the time it doesn’t. I know this is not the router because I tried this setup at 3 different locations with different routers. I think I need to modify something in the OS.
