Cisco VPN Client Network Conflict

I just purchased a Lenovo R61e. It has two network adapters: Broadcom NetLink (TM) Gigabit Ethernet and an Intel(R) PRO/Wireless 3945ABG Network Connection.

I installed the Cisco VPN Client and when the system reboots after installation the wireless and LAN go down. It's even difficult, if not impossible, to uninstall the Client. I end up having to do a full system restore.

I also own an IBM Thinkpad T42 with different network adapters and the VPN Clint works just fine.

Is there a fix for this? Any help is greatly appreciated.

I have the exact same issue

I have bought 6 total for the company. When I bought the 1st 2, only one of them had this issue. I reformatted the HD on the machine that had the issues (to get rid of the Lenovo viruses :-) ), reinstalled the drivers and the VPN and it worked.

Oddly enough, I just bought 4 R61e's and the 1st one I have tried to put the Cisco VPN Client on AFTER I reformatted the HD (clean up those pesky Lenovo viruses) and both wire/wireless adapters refuse to find a signal/connect.

I have the benefit of a company we outsource desktop management to, looking into it. I will post their findings/solutions as we troubleshoot.
