Cisco Wirless cards and Wyse terminals

by lubbeng . Updated 20 years, 6 months ago

I work in a large Health care enviroment. We currently use WYSE 9450 “thin clients” in some departments. These terminals are placed on mobile carts and connect to the network via Cisco Wireless PCI Cards. We also have the same wyse terminals located at stationary desk that are connected to the network By ethernet. My problem is when a user uses a web based application called “IBex” on the Mobile carts it randomly freezes the terminal. they dont have this problem with the stationary terminals. the only differnce between the two is the wireless connection. we have had our network engineers check the health of the network and they found the departments are not using anywhere near the 11mb bandwith they have, and the connection strength is generaly very good or excellent. We belive that the problem is with the wirless connection but cant pinpoint the exact problem. We have exhuasted all of are options. any advice or information would be greatly appriciated
