Citrix application with a specific file

By gary.flack ·
We use Citrix servers to deliver some of our applications. What I would like to do via a Desktop shortcut is to open lets says Word (over Citrix)along with a specific word file.

Can anyone help?

Couldn't you do that by publishing the Word file to the Citrix server and have the user call it via NFuse?

Sorry Bfilmfan but
I'm afraid our users want their Personal/Team files (not stored on a Citrix server)to open from a shortcut for Word or Excel so for example "C:\Program Files\Citrix\ICA Client\pn.exe" /APP "Microsoft Word" /PNI "51965c5g"

but with some other parameter on the end.

We don't use Desktop, we use Program Neighborhood. I don't know if this would work the same way or not.

We have copied the file "fileman.exe" into a folder called "custom" on the C drive of each citrix server. Then an application is published with the location of "c:\custom\fileman.exe \\server\directory\folder". This is then pushed to user requiring that specific departmental folder. One is created for each department folder.

Not sure if this is what you want to achive. Save the Word file to your Citrix server disk drive and create a shortcut to the Desktop. Publish the Citrix server as a Desktop.
