Citrix Metaframe&High Res Client Display

By ross.bale ·
I am running a Citrix Metaframe Server 1.8 on NT4 Terminal Server, but when trying to connect a client running Citrix Client I get a licence error when configuring the client to run at 1024x768 with pref 16 bit or 24 bit colour to enable use of graphic design software across an existing VPN. Is this a configuration issue or do I need different licence options for this higher resolution?

The discrepancy in video settings will cause the ICA client to request a second license. If you are already maxed out on available licenses, the system will return an error message, because this request for a "second" license cannot be met. The best way to overcome this is to ensure you have the same settings on both sides when you publish the app for this particular client/user. Good Luck!

I have since found the solution from Citrix's WebSite (after looking a bit more carefully than before) - We needed to install and activate the Citrix Metaframe Feature Release to allow us to use a higher resolution display.
