Citrix Thin Clients for School

Citrix Thin Clients for School
We need more PC's and have been looking at thin clients. I have a problem however. We set our Citrix environment up like so:
We published desktops, (one faculty and one student), with the required applications.
We lock it down through active directory. They can only run the Apps.
We use terminal services profiles, all user info & files stored on file server.
The only thing they do not do on Citrix is surf the Web. This was left to the Clients PC. Nothing is saved on the client PC's, they save files or pictures to their home directory.
Problem is we need to add plug-in's, Acrobat Reader, real player, etc to the clients PC so they can do assignments. If we use thin clients we would need to purchase units with the built in browsers and storage capacity to add the extras we need. I was wondering anyone has info on thin clients and if so have they worked out. Any feedback would be appreciated

Ohh, geehs, our school was thinking about going to a citirix metaframe server, but they did not. The one think I would do is call citirix and ask them. I know its hard to have a system like that. But well, I would still just use old computers, they would work fine. But if our set on thin clients you may do a google on that or call citrix.

My office publishes applications only. I have installed Acrobat Reader, etc on the servers. This way any program accessed through the citrix servers already have the program associated and I don't need to install on PCs.
