Cleaning Add/Remove Programs Window

After installing software from my computer, I am still finding the reference to the software in the Add/Remove Programs Window. I have searched the registry to locate this window, but have not been successful. I have used Registry Cleaning software,but I am still unable to remove these orphaned references.

Does anyone know how to remove the unwanted orphans from the Add/Remove Programs Window in Windows 2000?
