Cleaning Windows XP

Can anyone tell me what software is best(not using Windows XP to clean up my hardrive.
I would like to get rid of all the files that are left behind that are left after the software has been uninstalled.

I use Kazza and edonkey, does anyone know of anymore software that does the same as Kazza and Edonkey.
