Client 32 for Windows 95

By joeblow1524 ·
I have a laptop with no cd and no way to get it to the network. When I install the PCMCIA network card, it asks me for the Client 32 disks. There's no way around this and I don't have the disks. Is there a place I can get this set of disks? Thanks a lot in advance.

You will need to expand Client32 into a direcory on the server.... make sure the directory is availabe to all users...
From the laptop you will use microsoft client for netware as default client...Once this is completed you should be able to see the server... from the server you can then select the directory where the expanded Client32 software... run setup... The setup will remove Microsoft client for netware and install Client32 on your system...

If the laptop is asking for the client 32 disks Novell Client 32 must have been installed once before. when it needs a file look at the details. Set the copy path to where Novell installed the files. You will have to do this for each file. When done if laptop can not logon. Install the MS Windows client for netware. Then when logged into the server get the latest client and set it up on the laptop.....Be sure to copy the whole client folder to the laptop first just incase the installation fails you can run it again and not have to reinstall the MS client for Netware. After copying the client folder you may want to run the UNC32.exe from the admin folder. This will clean out any previous failed unistalls so when reinstalling you get a clean install. Fixed several problems we were having with clients and upgrades.....Good Luck.....Chuck

The option of using the Microsoft client for NetWare networks is a valid answer to your question. You may also consider going to Novells website and down loading the client and then extracting it on the laptop.

Good Luck!
