A customer of mine was getting various errors on startup, and couldn't access their internet email. I came across an article which recommended uninstalling then reinstalling the "Client for Micosoft Networks." I uninstalled OK, but now I cannot install it. I go thru the process, and it appears in the network components list. Then it recommends the restart. After the restart the client is still missing! I've tried reinstalling Windows over the existing copy, run Norton Systemworks, and tried other thing - all to no avail. I would appreciate anyone's advice. Thank you, Justin Boxer

this is what i would try: uninstall all the network components. write down name of network card driver. uninstall network component first, many other components will come out with the network card. leave the dial up adapter in if you have it. reboot computer reinstall network card driver. download latest version from internet.
Run the kill box program, and follow the rest of the instructions. Also, edit the HOSTS file (search the pc for it) in notepad and remove the xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx easysearch.com etc...
If you're asking for technical help, please be sure to include all your system info, including operating system, model number, and any other specifics related to the problem. Also please exercise your best judgment when posting in the forums--revealing personal information such as your e-mail address, telephone number, and address is not recommended.
