We are slowly upgrading our servers ro 2K and are having problems with the new client 4.8. It seems that when we upgrade the client the server no longers wantss to boot properly, or at all.
We have upgraded 4 servers so far and have had to aborton 1 other. (Thank God for Ghost) The symptoms are Long boot times (20 minutes+), server hangs and never boots, Event viewer shows a ton of errors in all of the networking protocols, and the admins are running out of hair….
According to the Novell website the client 4.8 is for workstation and it does run fine on the 2K stations that we have here, but the servers just like to blow up.
Any ideas????
