Client lockdown on w2k Terminal Services

Is there a way that I can just set a termserv session to only display Internet Explorer? I want to diable the start menu, desktop shortcuts, etc. White paper or tech doc?

Hiya

You may want to try this. Systems administrators can use System Policy Editor to limit how much of the Windows 200 shell any user can access. To do this, follow these steps:

Start the System Policy Editor from the Start,Run menu, then type poledit. Open the current POL file for the system via the File/Open Policy menu option.

Double click the appropriate User Icon. In the dialogue property box, scroll down until you some to the Shell entry. Expand the enter until you see Restrictions entry with check boxes for the items. You will see there there are various options to select to lock down your desktop.

Build a new OU in Active Directory and add a new policy for the users. I've setup dozens of these and it is rather easy once you get pointed in the right direction.
