I am having a problem whereby my windows 98 clients are unable to see my WINS server at a couple of sites which are remote from where my WINS server is located.
We were initially having a problem with WINS whereby our Windows 98 users were not able to change their passowrd without being locked out of the network, but we fixed that by rebuilding our WINS database on a server and pointing the clients to that server via DHCP.
But now, all clients can log on but the ones behind our gateway are not able to see the WINS server. We modified our router such that it now states that netbios is accessed via our WINS server, but the clients can log onto the
network but cannot see the server.
