Clients scripts won’t exe in domain

by wburdine . Updated 24 years, 9 months ago

Background: NT4 server SP6a w/ 25CAL; 10 2k workstations…all ip & subnet info correct.
QUESTION:
I find that when several systems log in and out of the network in rapid succession (say 5 do it in 10-20min of each other) then the client login script does not execute. When attempting to access \\server\netlogon I get the message ‘\\server\netlogon is not accessible’, ‘No more connections can be made to this remote computer at this time because they are already as many connections as the computer can accept.’
Things checked…physical connections..okay, network settings..okay, tried shutting down the system completely for 5min…problem still exists.
I think it has to do with the server not releasing the CAL’s correctly. Thanks in advance
