I have recently installed a 500 gb sata drive to my own pc this was with some help from a friend who is more pc than myself.
my problem is that when an ide was installed as my partitioned c/d drive I regularly backed up a full identical clone using norton ghost (f/g) this worked fine and when my hd failed i was able to install the clone and continue, now I have a sata as my main drive which was cloned from the ide (this is working fine) but cant get the pc to boot correctly with my ide installed to clone a back up onto it appeares to be trying to boot from the ide any ideas or help please………….
