Clover POS software HTTPS security problem

Have a client who failed a PCI security audit through Bank of America due to Clover point of sale login credentials being transmitted via the net in plain text. Needs to be switched over to HTTPS.

Clover is advertised as having end to end encryption as one of its selling points, so this is a bit vexing. Their support hotline doesn’t appear to be set up to handle technical questions and they don’t have a proper IT knowledge base set up, just a very un-helpful FAQ. Created a support ticket anyway, expecting callback at some point in the unknown future. We’re under an imminent compliance deadline though, so I’m asking anyone.

Any advice? Anyone ever worked with Clover before?
