Cluster Server..

Hi,

Can anyone tell me what cluster server means?? whats the main responsibility of cluster server. Can we do cluster server service for proxy, exchange server or whatever?? Is that something like load balancing? I heard clusterserver replicates database, is that true?

Regards.
