Cmd line execution for Slide Show in XP with Windows Picture and Fax Viewer

By mvanopdorp ·
I've found the command to launch for a single JPG picture, but nothing to start the Slide show option for all files in the same directory with Windows Picture and Fax Viewer.
I looked for an additional switch to execute, but have not found any reference to such.

Here is the working command for the single file:
C>c:\windows\system32\rundll32 c:\windows\system32\shimgvw.dll,imageview_fulls
creen c:\webPages\may program jpgs\program May1.jpg

Your assistance would be greatly appreciated.

There is only one easy way to do that

You would have to create this with WinBatch and use the SendKeysTo function to send the F11 key (next slide) to the application.

As you already know, the Windows PFV app will load up all the jpgs in a single directory by specifying only the folder name in a startup directory, then you need to give it a f11 to get it going.

Winbatch is really easy

It may be possible to do it with a regular batch file, but sending F11 in a batch file is tricky. See the "programming the function keys" section on the following page:
