problem I’m having with a old computer I bought that had no documentation. Infact I’m not sure of the brand of motherboard. Anyway I installed it in the case and it started up the cmos and such, everything looked good except for a hard drive failure 80. I switched some cables around but could’nt get rid of the message. The mother board does not have very good description on pin# or anything. I tried putting the leads for HD, Power, Speaker, reset, and because they where undetectable I couldn’t figure out what went where. Anyway after moving them around in different places I rebooted only to find out I have No startup cmos or anything on the screen at all now. I don’t know if I did something that damaged the computer or if I wiped out the cmos. Could anyone help me identify the problem and is there a site that locates bios updates for unknown motherboards? thanks Robert
