CMOS update Needed

Will possible award more points if i get what i need …..

CMOS update that I need is for the VIA VT8501 chipset. I have pretty much checked everywhere, but if you can find an update just let me know, I would really appreciate it.

http://www.viatech.com/drivers/index.htm lists the updates for the VIA chipset. As you know, if you actually need the BIOS update, it’s a different beast entirely.

Check out “http://www.driversguide.com” any driver I was looking for I was able to find on that WebSite.

You need to find out the specific make/model of your system board. Lots of manufacturers use the Via Chipset, yet each may have a different Bios set, and withing those bios sets, certain boards can only be flashed to a certain version of Bios.

Post Make/Model of Motherboard
Bios version

Then we may be able to help you and point you in the right direction.

Angie boot your system and when the start up screen begins look at the top to see who is the manufacturer of your BIOS is,then get the manual or look up the type system you have and see what motherboard you are using.
You will then have the info toupdate your bios,most Pentium systems with Intel inside will mostly use Awards bios,check these two sites for upgrades

Cannot be more specific with info not enough information about your system,you may want to repost and give more info about the motherboard and type.

Working on getting that info requested about BIOS today. This is a co workers machine in another state. Will get info from them today
