Code Red

By lump_16 ·
Starting late last night and today I've been recieveing an unusually high number of HTTP Port Probe warnnnings thru my firewall BlackICE.

This is just a win 98 machine so I knwo I'm not at risk, I jsut want to know if this is how CodeRed spreads.

If it is, then should I assume the IP addresses the attacsk are comming have been infected with Codered?

Thanks,

The first thing to do is to get rid of BlackIce. That software firewall is just too touchy for the internet because it will go off every second. The other primary factor is that it doesn't let you do any advanced options.
