Codec..

I downloaded plenty of video clip from LimeWire.
Yet i want to play the video. It prompt a message show Codec Error. I use Divx Player to play it but still cannot. Pls help

Hi

I would go back to the site you downloaded the video from and check to see if the codec is available from there.

I have also downloaded videos (.avi), and could not play them using Windows Media Player, but checking the original site I discovered that the particular codec used was available for download. If you cannot see it there then you should contact the company that made the video and request the codec.

If you are running a 4.xx version of the divx codec you might want to try the 3.11 version.

Try GSpot ... it finds what codec a file is using:
