Colorado Jumbo 120 External Tape Drive

By say_ong ·
I had a Colorado Jumbo 120 External Tape Drive with FC10 controller installed on a 486 computer with Win95. I moved it to a Pentium Celeron 333 with Aopen motherboard Win98.
a. Win98 recognised the FC10 controller. No conflict or error.
b. When tape is inserted, tape drive recognised tape.
c. however when backup is run from window backup program, it cannot see the tape drive.

can anyone tell me, please, what I have done wrong or miss out.

Thanks

Just a guess, but try the following:
1)Check to be sure the driver you are using is supports Win98.
2)Try software other than the built-in Windows backup. Some vendors have a downloadable demo you can try first. I believe Colorado even has their own for download, if it is still available. Also, you can probably find a shareware backup program.
