Com port network device?

Com port network device?

Has anyone heard of a device that can be plugged into a 9 pin com port and used to access a UTP LAN? Would be great for backing up a computer that doesn’t have a NIC, and you wouldn’t have to bust open the case…

  I took a look at http://www.blackbox.com
  I figured if anyone had one, they would.
  
  All they have is a USB to Ethernet adapter for $106.
