Combining Extended Partition

By Super_IT_Mom ·
The OS on my SBS2000 is on the C: drive. I also have an extended partition on the C: drive. I need to delete the partition so I have one large drive. How can I combine the two partitions without destroying my OS or any other data on those partitions? If I can't, what do I need to do to get them combined? Thank you!

usually an extended partition on the logical disk drive is assigned a drive letter e.g. If the O/S is only on C: you CAN delete the extended partition without effecting the C: drive "IF" there's nothing on there that the O/S will need. Another way is to you a disk partitioning software such as Partition Commander. If the problem is low C: disk space, you can use Partition Commander to change the disk size without destroying data.
