This question is similar to an earlier one, but different enough. I have 2 service providers, each one has a router in our house, and I have cat5 wire hardwired to my office. Without going into all the details, one of my SPs has fast upload speed and slow download, and the other has the reverse. I currently move the house wire from one router to the other depending on my needs. This is obviously not convenient. Does anyone make some sort of hardware that I could plug both incoming sources into; select one for download, the other for upload and combine into one wire to output to the house?

Since I made this post I have found out that what I want to do can be done. I don’t fully understand the technical details.
