My LiteOn LSC 24081 DVD-ROM/CDRW Combo has just stopped recognizing any kind of CD discs (original, data CD-R, data CD-RW, audio CDs or blank ones), but it still reads all my DVDs. Could this be a software bug or a hardware malfunction? Are there two different systems in it? I’ve got an ECS A928 Desknote Computer, P4 1.8, 256Mb RAM, Windows 98SE. Any suggestion of tests or even a diagnosis is welcome.
