Coming back...need HTML coding help.

By HybridCrow ·
Hi, I'm coming back into the web design business, but it has been a long while since I've done any work. I just need to know if there was anybody who could help me w/ a few html coding. I'm trying to create a background color to the text so that the web page's background doesn't affect the reader's ability to read it. Otherwise, what's the html coding for lighting the background image of the web page so that it is a lighter shade. Thanks.

use photoshop for backgrounds

by Oshri In reply to Coming back...need HTML c ...

if you want to play with the background color to make it easier to read, use photoshop for the background color , html doesnt handle color and images manipulation very well.

got that tip while creating tutorial based websites where lots of images and text is required.

Hope that helps

WYSIWYG and CSS

WYSIWYG editors (like Dreamweaver and *gasp* frontpage) also let you play with colors. They have the added advantage of only presenting you with hexadecimal colors.

Color and background color can also be controlled with CSS. Don't freak out CSS is easy.

"Visual Quickstart Guide HTML 4 for the World Wide Web (fourth edition)" would be a good book for you to pick up.
